Evaluation, Repairs and Maintenance of All Commonly Used Formwork Systems
All formwork materials have to be in “like new” condition and well maintained at any given time so that they can perform effectively and safely. At GHI, we are committed to providing each customer with the utmost in personal service and professional care for their formwork materials. Regardless of the brand of the formwork that you own or use, before you make a decision on its repairs and maintenance, we encourage you to consider calling on us. We undertake the whole process of refurbishment – either in your own premises or ours – at very reasonable rates. The work is supervised and carried out by well-trained technicians using modern tools and equipment for this purpose only.
Evaluation
Within the agreed time period, we undertake a thorough evaluation. Depending on the level of dirt and/or damage, we carry out the following measures to assess the condition of your materials.
- Formwork is in good condition – cleaning needed
- Formwork is damaged – minimal repair needed
- Plywood is unusable – plywood needs to be replaced
- Panel with minimal damaged frame – refurbishing necessary
- Panels with damaged frame - profiles needed to be changed
- Panel is unusable – disposal as scrap
Repairs and maintenance
If normal cleaning is insufficient, then the panels are fully repaired. Holes and small damages are capped – where possible - with discs 60mm or 40mm in diameter. For safety reasons, we recommend that the plywood is replaced when more than 8 discs cover one square meter of a panel.
Minor damages on the frames are repaired by straightening work. In some cases, the entire frame needs to be straightened out. New corner welding guarantees stability. Badly damaged frames are reconditioned. We also replace profiles and repaint the frames.

Other Refurbishment Services
GHI undertakes contracts for regular maintenance and reconditioning of your formwork materials. With prior notice, you can bring the materials directly from the construction site to our yard. Following the inspection, we will send you a detailed letter giving the condition of your materials (as we received them) and the costs involved to perform the required services. After receiving your order confirmation, we will proceed accordingly. Within the stipulated time, your newly refurbished formwork materials are delivered back to you – free of charge.
Depending on your request, all services can be carried out directly at your premises – except for the high-pressure cleaner.
