TriTec Light is a light weight panel-based wall formwork system ideal for use in housing and civil engineering projects. The panels are based on the steel-framed TriTec system, specially developed to shutter cellar and basement walls up to 3.00 m high, foundations and shafts with extension panels.

TriTec Light panels are joined together with the Light Clamp. Made from forged steel and weighing 2.90 kgs each, the Light Clamp is a strong individual component that fastens and tightens the panels quickly and easily with just a single hammer stroke.

TriTec Light can be combined seamlessly with the standard TriTec system to form large area walls, regular or oblique corners. Panels are aligned and fastened with the standard APC (Aligning Panel Clamp). The same APC is used to set up external corners. The standard APC can also serve as the only panel joint required for the TriTec Light, particularly if the regular TriTec is going to be used in the same site.

With TriTec Light, length adjustments and rigidity of inter-panel connections are achieved through the use of Compensation Waler TTR85. The other components are Push Pull Strut PPS, Lifting Hooks and Concreting Platforms. Tritec Light and regular TriTec use the same common accessories. Moreover, the tie holes in both the systems are located in the same exact positions.

TriTec Light panels are available in standard heights of 3.00 m, 2.70 m, 1.50 m, 1.20 m and 0.60 m. Standard widths are 0.90 m, 0.60 m and 0.30 m. The 0.72 m panel is supplied as a multi-purpose unit serving also as a column box. The steel frames are hot dip galvanised to protect it from corrosion. On demand, it can be powder-coated (in any colour of choice) for easier maintenance.

Multiple formlining options are available such as with plywood, without plywood or with coated plastic. Either way, the formlines could be built-in on the front side with rivets or on the back side with screws.

In line with GHI’s principle of providing practical formwork solutions, TriTec Light wall formwork system is simple and fast to erect. The system uses fewer parts compared to beam-to-waler solutions. As a result, the search (for a component) is minimized, interim storage is simplified, losses are reduced and shuttering time is decreased.

All the main elements and accessories required to assemble TriTec Light system are developed, manufactured and tested according to German guidelines.
