Which slab system to use?
 
If you are faced with a dilemma as to which slab formwork system is the most suitable to be used, then start by asking yourself the following questions:
 

• What is the level of repetition/s?
• Is the same slab geometry going to be repeated on the successive floors?
• Is the facade sufficiently open for shifting pre-assembled slab formwork (e.g. Tableforms)?
• What is the level of labour costs?

 

GHI Multiflex Slab Formwork System

GHI Multiflex slab system uses fewer individual components as compared to traditional scaffold solutions. While assembly and disassembly times are longer in comparison with panelised or Tableforms systems, the overall performance is high. Using Multiflex is therefore economically viable in certain countries where labour wages are low. This system is particularly suitable if crane movement is restricted, such as basements, core areas or general infill zones.

GHI Tableform System

As long as crane availability is adequate, Tableform (these are the pre-assembled version of Multiflex slab system) are found to be the most cost effective system in projects where the nature of work is repetitive and in open facades. In most cases, the material cost is the same as the Multiflex slab system. But using the Tableform system has the distinct advantage of saving time in terms of dismantling and re-mounting because it is shifted/moved as one complete unit.

GHI Panel Slab Formwork System
