Flex 50 wall formwork is a versatile system for the construction of vertical walls as it can be configured to even the most complex geometries. It allows for assembly of various panel sizes to conform to any wall height and length. Aside from achieving fair face concrete finish, faster striking rate is made possible by its large area panels. It can be designed to accommodate any loading capacity and also to meet all other project-related requirements
In line with GHI’s principle of providing practical formwork solutions, Flex 50 wall formwork is much lighter at 45 kg/m2 only compared to traditional “soldier to waler” solution. This allows simple erection and hassle-free dismantling. It makes sense particularly when used repetitively for long-term basis in similar jobs, especially in combination with climbing and platform scaffolding in high-rise building projects.
The system’s main elements are the solid H20 timber beams, U-100 multi-purpose steel walers, flange clamps and plywood. Site-approved accessories like Push Pull Struts PPS, Lifting Brackets, Concreting Platforms, Panel Connecting Parts and Tie Rods are also required to complete the system. These are developed, manufactured and tested according to German guidelines. This guarantees longer service life thus the high number of re-uses, provided they are maintained and/or repaired properly at regular intervals.
As an added cost benefit, contractors can choose their preferred type of plywood whilst taking into account requirements such as surface-finish and number of re-uses.
