Column requirements come in varying shapes and sizes that’s why GHI has Flex 50. It is the most versatile system for the construction of columns as it can be configured to even the most complex geometries, be it circular, rectangular, trapezoidal or hexagonal. The individual components allow for quick assembly of various panel sizes to conform to any column height and cross-section. It makes sense particularly when used repetitively for long-term basis in similar jobs. Aside from achieving fair face concrete finish, it is designed to accommodate loading capacity of up to 90 kN/m² fresh concrete pressure.

The system’s main elements are the solid H20 timber beams, U-100 multi-purpose steel walers, flange clamps, splice plates, universal angle tie and plywood. Site-approved accessories like Push Pull Struts PPS, Lifting Brackets, Concreting Platforms, Panel Connecting Parts and Tie Rods are also required to complete the system. These are developed, manufactured and tested according to German guidelines. This guarantees longer service life thus the high number of re-uses, provided they are maintained and/or repaired properly at regular intervals. 

As an added cost benefit, contractors can choose their preferred type of plywood whilst taking into account their requirements such as surface-finish and number of re-uses.
